Review: Dried Fruits and Veggies From JustTomatoes!

I was reading a Prevention magazine article about eating dried veggies when you're sick and how it will help you get a nutrition boost even when you're sick and lethargic. They cited the JustTomatoes, ETC website and I went to check it out. They have a great selection of fruits and veggies- you can eat them out of the container as a snack or use in cooking or baking. So I ordered some of the Just Veggies veggie mix, pomegranate seeds, fruit salad, persimmon, and strawberries. They have tubs but also snack sized pouches so you don't have to commit to a large amount.

I LOVED all of them. The Just Veggies blend is really good just straight out of the package, but I've also sprinked it into soup. The pom seeds are awesome on salads or in yogurt or cereal. The strawberries are the same way...so versatile. The fruit salad was a little 'astronaut ice cream' for me but it may just be because the dried grapes have an odd flavor/texture. The dried persimmons were good- I put them into a pumpkin bread and it was fantastic if not a bit exotic.

So I wholeheartedly recommend the dried yumminess that Just Tomatoes ETC sells...it's a super way to sneak extra fruits and veggies into your diet. This is also a great thing to bring along to the airport as a snack, really low-mess and healthier than most airport treats. A+++++!
